ABOUT THE ROLE

The Open Innovation team is a future-forward innovation ecosystem for CHANEL. Operating at the intersection of the organization and the wider world, we envision the road ahead for luxury and for CHANEL, fast-tracking potential responses through our network of investments and partnerships. We pressure-test these ideas both inside and outside CHANEL, enabling the House to create positive impact from leading-edge learnings and capabilities and to prepare its businesses for the future.

The Specialist, Open Innovation supports leaders from New Concepts, Digital & Startup Programs and Strategic Planning teams and is based in London, UK.  This position will be a key role meant to organize and keep the full Open Innovation team on task, on time, and on budget. The role will be heavily administrative and project management focused but will have opportunities to aid in other areas including events/partnerships, product, operations, people/education and digital. Our ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience and a passion for innovation and creating the future of luxury.

                                                               

IMPACT YOU CAN CREATE AT CHANEL

Administrative Support

·  Team calendar management and travel planning; project calendar management.
·  Manage and schedule cadence for internal meetings.
·  Manage office supply flow for team.
·  Oversee total team T&E budget.
·  Meeting planning: attendees, security, catering and set-up, AV requirements and executive scheduling.
·  Administrative Assistant responsibilities for the Open Innovation Leaders as needed: meeting coordination, expenses, travel.
·  Lead in taking notes or posting meeting minutes.

Project Management Support

·  Manage new vendor set-up and paperwork liaising with Legal and Accounts Payable partners.
·  Liaise with internal departments in support of individual team goals and priorities.
·  Assist with budget management: track, code and maintain invoicing and payment schedules.

Special Projects

·  Conduct ad hoc trend / competitive analysis and market reviews.
·  Research & plan team explorations and events: newest pop ups, noteworthy experiences and/or new concepts in and around NYC and London.
·  Contribute to internal and external communication: newsletter, website.
·  Contribute to the organization of special events with our start-ups (conferences, events, others).

WHAT YOU WILL BRING/HAVE

·  University degree required.
·  Passion for the luxury industry, entrepreneurship, trends, technology, innovation, NYC and London.
·  Outstanding organizational skills with details carefully considered.
·  Excellent attention to detail and ability to work autonomously and prioritize evolving tasks.
·  Ability to problem solve and propose multiple solutions in a dynamic environm.
·  Expert-level fluency in Microsoft Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
