Join us as a Software Engineer, based in our Reading Office, as part of our team developing and evolving software applications working with Government on engagement that make real positive differences to people’s lives in the UK.
Due to the nature of the work candidates must already hold or be willing and eligible to hold SC level UK Security Clearance.

Your future duties and responsibilities
As a Software Engineer within our Central Government business you’ll initially be deployed onto programme of work redeveloping existing applications with new technology to help modernise, simplify and transform them into more effective solutions. This particular programme of work is expected to last around 2 years, and we need someone based in Reading but there is flex for a day a week working from home.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
We are looking for a Software Engineer with strong .net skills coupled with experience of both waterfall and iterative development methodologies. We want a developer who has a good understanding of not only front end development but also back end business logic as this will be a key deliverable in first stages of the project.

Software skills;
Microsoft .Net suite inc XML
Use of TFS -
SQL Server/SQL at developer level
Java/JSON experience (Desirable)
Any experience of Azure development would be a plus
