Quality Assurance Manager

Position Description
CGI Federal is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to support our DOJ mail operations and services specific program to ensure all locations are meeting ISO 9001 2015 standards and continuously seek process improvement.

Your future duties and responsibilities
• Prepare, maintain, and implement quality program in compliance with ISO 9001 standard
• Manage contract-wide quality policies, procedures, processes, and practices to maintain conformance to ISO 9001:2015 standard, contract requirements, customer standards and regulations, and ongoing quality program.
• Maintain and improve quality by completing surveillance audits, investigating customer complaints, maintaining quality awareness across all levels of the project.
• Develop standard operating procedures, policies, job aids, process improvement programs, and process communications.
• Observe project activities, examine project artifacts, and assess compliance to established plan, procedures, and ISO standard.
• Track performance against existing contract requirements, Quality Policy, Standard Operating Procedures, and Service Level Agreements
• Coordinate and track corrective and preventative action plans
• Coordinate and track process improvement plans
• Assess and track ongoing risks and manage Risk Log
• Prepare quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, corrective actions, and re-inspections
• Communicate compliance and conformance
• Perform and deliver training on quality process audits
• Collect and organize objective evidence and materials for external ISO audits; coordinate with external audit organization, corporate project management office, subcontractor, and customer entities.
• Ensure the quality management system is operating effectively
• Achieve quality assurance objectives by:
- Contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and review
- Preparing and completing action plans
- Implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards
- Identifying and resolving problems
- Completing audits
- Determining improvements
- Implementing change
• Enhance contract and organization reputation by exploring opportunities to add value
• Develop quality assurance plans; identify critical control points and preventative measures and establish critical limits
• Occasional travel required to MD, DC, and VA operations sites
• Prepare, maintain, and implement quality program in compliance with ISO 9001 standard

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Bachelor’s Degree
• 3 years QA and ISO experience in a supervisory role
• Strong self-motivation, ability to work independently, and within a team environment with strong follow up, organization and prioritization skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Competent and comfortable speaking effectively and communicating directly with all levels of personnel.
• Able to distinguish and articulate the value of a Quality Management System and the value of the ISO Standard to executive level management
• Asking questions, collecting process information, and working with all members in a positive and collaborative manner
• Experience with Quality documentation process; document control; managing documents, records, forms, and work instructions
• Technical writing experience and competency developing policy and procedures
• Able to understand a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form and help others to follow and conform to the established best practice.
• In-depth understanding of and direct experience with ISO 9001:2015 standard
• Experience in process improvement methodologies. LSS Green Belt or higher preferred.
• US citizenship
• Ability to successfully complete a CGI background investigation to include 50 state criminal, education, employment, and credit check
• Ability to successfully complete a government agency background investigation / security clearance; obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance
-Preferred Certifications: ASQ, CQM, CQA, Lean Six Sigma
-Top Secret Clearance preferred
