Pre-Implementation Application Support Analyst

This role will be directly involved in providing Pre-Implementation analysis and guidance for new applications going into production. Candidate will analyze and understand the pre-implementation needs such as personnel, supporting products and technologies, application functionality, batch processes, online processes, maintenance processes, testing needs, and documentation. Required to support new applications in production.

Candidate will initially be less involved in the day to day support of the applications themselves, but should come from a solid background in providing production support so they have a good understanding of the requirements. Once new apps are in production, candidate will provide production support functions including Incident management, change control, and compliance functions. Background should include previous experience in the following areas

• Provide production support for medium and highly complex applications
•Trouble-shooting production incidents requiring detailed analysis of issues on web and desktop applications, AutoSys batch jobs, and databases (both relational and VSAM for mainframe).
• Prepare and coordinate communications to stakeholders
• Create, develop, and track solutions to application errors reported
• Escalate unresolved issues to appropriate team and personnel
• Support application releases requiring execution of AutoSys jobs, UNIX and database script execution as well as interfacing with business team/s
• Update user documentation and conducting training Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• 3-5 years experience in Production Support with a strong IT background & experience in application issue resolution.
• Pre-Implementation Production Support Analysis
• UNIX expertise – navigation, scripting, command level
• Sybase/Oracle databases (medium level expertise w/SQL)
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Experience in a fast-paced production environment and the ability to handle multiple, simultaneous problems with changing priorities
• Knowledge of enterprise database concepts
• Remedy, ServiceNow, or other ticketing system (ticket life cycle)
• AutoSys or other job scheduling system (Debugging failed job)
