Java Software Developer

Position Description
**Due to the nature of this government contract, US Citizenship is required.**

The Java Software Developer will support the design and development of interface software to connect a variety of enterprise systems with a centralized financial solution as part of an enterprise transformation and modernization effort. The goal is to employ open-source tooling via agile, service-oriented approach, to enable a smooth transition from an as-is state to a target state integration architecture leveraging an Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) and integration best practices. The candidate will work with a team of financial subject matter experts as well as integration engineers with extensive experience in the federal financial integration space.

Your future duties and responsibilities
Day-to-day activities include the development and design of interface solutions using Java, open-source tooling, and an ESB. Additional responsibilities include:
- Creating and maintaining detailed design documents as well as supporting the lifecycle
of those documents through draft and final stages.
- Working closely with subject matter experts to interpret requirements and translate to
software solutions.
- Build and test integration software solutions.
- Help maintain code quality, organization and performance.
- Participate in technical meetings with client’s technical specialists.
- Provide support for downstream testing efforts and defect resolution. Required qualifications to be successful in this role
*Minimum of 3 years of experience with Java (JEE) application development (JEE 7/8).
• Experience with an Enterprise Service Bus platform (JBoss ESB or JBoss Fuse a plus).
• Experience with Java technologies and open-source tooling (Camel and Spring).
• Experience designing and developing applications and reusable components using J2EE
technologies and a service-oriented architecture.
• Experience securing data both in transit and at rest (data encryption, certs, TLS, HTTPS).
• Experience with SOAP/RESTful web service technologies and related security.
• Proficient with source code versioning tools (Git).
• Proficient with build tools such Maven.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• XML processing experience such as XSD, XPath, XSL, and XSLT.
• Proficient with Oracle (JDBC or equivalent, SQL).
• Due to the nature of this government contract, US Citizenship is required.

Previous experience building integrations.
