Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Engineer

Position Description
Are you motivated by the opportunity to work for Galileo? Galileo is Europe’s own global satellite system and currently consists of a constellation of 22 satellites. It is capable of providing a highly accurate, guaranteed global positioning service under civilian control. The system is still under development and has recently entered the Exploitation Phase.

To strengthen our team responsible for the Key Management Facility of the Galileo Mission Segment, we are looking for an ILS engineer. You will play a key role in developing a mission-critical systems for one of the most prestigious space programmes.

Your future duties and responsibilities
The ILS (Integrated Logistics Support) Engineer is responsible for ensuring all process are in place that the system designed can be built and maintained. ILS is a recognised discipline of management techniques in relation to Support costs (including manpower, facilities, tools etc), Documentation, Training and Logistics over the life of the system being supported. The ILS Engineer is responsible to deliver a supportable system to the specified requirements maximising system up time and minimising cost.

• Maintenance of the System Product Tree.
• Preparation and maintenance of the ILS Plan.
• Preparation and Maintenance of a Obsolescence plan, including a Spares plan.
• Preparation of a Trainings Plan.
• Preparation of a system Maintenance Plan, making sure maintenance procedures are written.
• Responsible for the DRACAS (Data Reporting and Criticality Analysis).

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Essential qualifications:
• At least two years of experience as an ILS Engineer.

Professional attributes
• Eligibility for an EU Personal Security Clearance at the level of CONFIDENTIAL and above is part of the   selection procedure
• You have demonstrated good written and verbal communication skills while working in a team.

Education and certification
• Bachelor’s degree with a focus on Information Technology/Communications, or equivalent. Affinity with   hardware.
