Position Description

CGI Calgary, in particular, has a great set of members, which has resulted in a series of new contracts for application maintenance and application development. As a member of CGI, you would be part of a 200 member local team, as well as the broader 1,000+ member team found in Western Canada.

CGI’s Calgary office is searching for senior Full Stack Developer to join the development team working primarily with Oil & Gas sector clients in both maintenance of enterprise-class applications and the development of new applications.

You will be part of an experienced global team of IT professionals working directly and collaboratively onsite with the client. You will work directly in an agile fashion with all facets of business to understand their needs to build out IT Solutions the help optimize their day to day business. You will need to be willing to learn and pickup new technologies that will help accelerate delivery to the business.

Your future duties and responsibilities
• Use multiple technologies to design, develop, and test new and existing applications & Integrations

• Use storyboarding, wireframes, predesigns and prototypes as applicable to prepare detailed and accurate specifications and estimates

• Mentor junior resources in multiple technologies and the software development life cycle

• Participate on code reviews and ensure standards are applied to each solution component

• Learn new tools and technologies as required

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Experience with integration between multiple systems

• Experience building IT solutions in an Agile fashion with direct stakeholder interaction

• Effective writing skills in the documentation of technical requirements

• Full Stack Development Skills (C#, .NET/ .NET Core, Java, WebAPI, Angular, React, etc.)

• Strong database skills (Oracle / SQL Server, SQL, database query optimization, etc.)

Desirable Qualifications:

• Experience in Multiple programming languages and Toolsets.

• Informatica Power Center or Informatica Cloud development Experience or Exposure

• R / Python, Powershell, UC4

Education Qualifications:

•Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
