Position Description
Are you an experienced desktop support technician looking to join a successful and growing company? CGI is currently seeking a desktop support specialist to work on our client’s site in Regina. The client support position is part of the manufacturing industry and the successful candidate will join a team of 12 professional desktop support technicians across 7 sites in North America, providing an excellent customer experience and driving toward total user satisfaction!

Your future duties and responsibilities
As a Desktop Support Technician on our team, you will be supporting end user computing requests with common and customized hardware and software. This role will require communication and interaction with multiple internal and external clients to ensure each module interacts properly with each other. The Desktop technician will also troubleshoot issues and develop a team knowledgebase to achieve targeted results. Some responsibilities include:

• Troubleshooting Windows and Mac OS

• Build, image, and deploy new hardware

• Disposal of equipment

• Tier 2 troubleshooting of applications

• Mobile device support

• Smart hands function, hands on tech for light server and networking duties

• Special project assistance

• Experience working in the manufacturing industry would be an asset

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Qualification:

• Experience with desktop support

• Troubleshoot variety of hardware and software

• Certification in desktop support combined with functional experience
