Position Description
We are currently looking for a Data Engineer to come and join our forever growing team. The Data Engineers are an integral part of the Operations Team, responsible for the through life management of the cyber related data. They design and engineer the data feed through its processing pipeline for exploitation by third party user applications.

Your future duties and responsibilities
• Design, implementation and management of data processing pipelines (Extract, Transform, Load).
• Management of Data Warehousing and Data Marts.
• Monitoring and assurance of data lifecycle management processes (e.g. archive and deletion).
• Monitoring of performance of all ingest, storage, transformation and data management components.
• Identification and reporting of performance optimisations within the architecture.
• Production of Data Design documents, including data flow/processing designs, Interface Control Design (ICD), Requests for Change (RFC) and Work Instructions (WI).

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Good interpersonal skills and able to communicate with the varying stakeholders.
• Comprehensive working knowledge and experience of data warehousing and data processing (ETL).
• Comprehensive working knowledge and experience of Big Data Solutions namely Hadoop or Splunk.
• Understanding of data connectivity to visualisation tools such as ODBC, JDBC, OLEDB etc.
• Comprehensive understanding of Regex Syntax, use of capture groups and experience of creating Regex pattern matching syntax.
