BI Developer

Position Description
CGI is looking for a number of experienced Business Intelligence (BI) Developers to join our growing team of BI experts working on a major State Government Greenfield project.
The initial scope of this project will be to help build the data backbone, which will be used for future report development and predictive analytics, adding huge business value and cost savings.

As a BI Developer, you will have solid experience utilising the SQL Server BI Stack and be open and willing to learning new technologies. We are looking for somebody who is passionate about data technologies, loves to share knowledge and wants to work as part of a global community of experts bringing CGI success stories to Australia and sharing Australian achievements with our other business units. Your future duties and responsibilities
• Support CGI’s Data Integration, Information Management, (Big Data, Advanced) Analytics, BI, Data Warehousing and Reporting engagements through the Design, Development and Deployment Phases
• Contribute to discovery and analysis of requirements and produce workable proof of concepts where needed
• Positively contribute to Information Management solutions, especially for Security, Capacity Planning, Data Migration, Governance, and reusable assets (DevOps/automation, frameworks etc.)
• Build strong relationships with clients to understand their unique and relevant business challenges and opportunities, and earn credibility through successful delivery
• Keep up to date with the latest industry and technological trends, and comfortable in presenting the business or technical topics to Client and CGI Teams. Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• 2 + years of core BI development experience, utilising the SQL Server BI Stack
• Experience in Business Intelligence, Data Integration and Reports/Analytics (SQL, NoSQL, On-premise and Cloud)
• Experienced in delivering data solutions in technically complex environments, including Delivery Automation, Change (data model, code and data) Management, Release Management
• A self-starter and eager to learn new tools and technologies where needed to suit client or project requirements
• Excellent communication skills, the ability to present comfortably and confidently to clients

Any knowledge/ experience in the following tools would be beneficial:
• Azure Data and Analytics stack
• Power BI, Data Vault and/or Dimensional Modelling,
• Agile methodology
• Industry knowledge in the following domains - financial services, utilities, public sector
• Report integration with web portals using JavaScript, C# etc.
• Certification in related data technologies or tools Build your career with us.
