Job Objectives:
The Risk Department is a 2nd Line of Defense function responsible for providing professional support to the business in managing risk within their activities and processes, and embedding a risk aware culture across the organisation.
The primary objective of the Risk Analyst is to support the Head of Risk in the identification, assessment, measurement and reporting of operational risk across the CACEIS entities in Ireland, and as / if applicable banking risk.
Main Duties and Responsibilities of the Risk Analyst:
- Provide support and guidance to the business on the use of the operational risk incident management tool (“MATRISK”);
- Ensure that corrective action plans are implemented in a timely manner and escalate any delays;
- Prepare or assist with the production of Operational Risk Management reports;
- Assist in the preparation, review and update of the risk assessment / risk mapping process;
- Support in the preparation and provision of Operational Risk / Incident Management / MATRISK training and other ad-hoc training as required;
- Assist in daily Credit Risk monitoring (including preparation of daily reports and analysis of credit risk breaches).
- Assist in AnaCredit and CCR, Central Bank reporting.
- Assist in Financial Risk topics
- Monitor and manage the Risk Department mailbox and address / direct queries appropriately
Job Attributes:
Job Knowledge / Technical Skills / Qualifications
- A third level qualification in Financial Services, Business or Accounting is required;
- A professional certificate in Operational Risk/ Risk Management would be an advantage;
- The candidate should have a minimum of 1-2 years experience within an Operational Risk / Risk Management environment;
- Experience with implementing and ensuring adherence to operational risk / risk management procedures and controls;
- Intermediate to Advanced Word, Access & PowerPoint is mandatory.
- Good knowledge of Excel is required and knowledge of SAS is welcome but not mandatory
- Good knowledge of Market instruments (bond, equity, listed derivatives, OTC derivatives, repo, security lending..)
- A knowledge of Funds (as type of Market instruments) is an advantage.
