Provide inspection services for power generating facilities, transmission or other high voltage electrical facilities. Verify the construction is performed per approved plans, specificaitons, codes and industry standards. Verify that all materials and equipment are code compliant and acceptable per the approved specifications, document daily inspections performed, monitor construction progress per the approved construction schedule, document resources and contractors on site, when necessary issue non-conformance reports in collaboration with the project's team track resolution and closure, maintain open communication and inform of any discrepancies or issues encountered.

· Inspections will include, but not be limited to: grading, drainage, earthwork, paving , structural concrete, structural steel, precast fabrication plant inspections.
· Record construction progress though diaries, daily reports, telephone conversation logs, and other documentation
· Identify violations of accepted safe practices observed in the conduct of the work and see that they are called to the construction contractor's attention
· Attend progress meetings, as applicable.
· Must abide by Bureau Veritas requirements Code of Ethics and QHS Management System.

Required Experience:

· ACI-318-14 or ICC equivalent
· CAL/OSHA 10 hour
· OSHA HAZWOPER
· Knowledge of excavation, trenching and shoring
· 10 or more years of experience providing inspection construction services
· Minimum of 2 years of construction or inspection experience working in the vicinity of energized facilities
· Minimum of 5 years of occupied facility inspection experinece and California Building code compliance

Work to be performed:

Provide inspection for work such as site development and improvement, earthwork, structural concrete, underground facilities, masonry, timer construction, structural steel, galvanizing, welding, electrical, plumbing, conduit systems, HVAC, painting, plastering, sealants, fire safety, fencing, landscaping, sheet metal, drywall, shoring, testing methods, hazardous waste operations, precast fabrication plant inspection, and labor compliance.

Preferred Skills:

· Valid California Driver's license, Class C or higher
· Proficient in the use of a personal computer and proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
· Knowledge of Public Works contracts, project administration, and construction materials and methods.
· Knowledge of rules and regulations of construction permitting.
· Knowledge of construction inspection techniques.
· Knowledge of construction and inspection around energized facilities.
· Communicate effectively orally and in writing.
· Determine construction progress and material quantities.
· Make daily decisions pertaining to acceptance/rejection of work performed and/or materials furnished.
· Identify construction issues and propose timely and safe solutions.
· Knowledge and ability to read, understand, and clearly communicate by mark-up of construction plans and manufacturer’s product information in the English language and in either standard or metric units of measurement. This may include but not be limited to reading and understanding architectural, civil, electrical, mechanical, piping, fire protection, and structural plans and drawings. It may also include manufactured products and equipment information and drawings.
· Basic knowledge of electrical distribution and transmission systems.
· Ability to climb ladders, work on scaffolding, drive locally to various work sites on a daily basis, work in adverse climates, and be present on project sites for sustained periods.
