Seeking qualified candidates for the position of Intern, a short term, non-benefit-eligible, entry level position.

The Internship Program is designed to accomplish the following:

• To provide a method of identifying and training potential future marketing and proposal specialists

• To encourage participating interns to pursue a career in proposal writing and within the code compliance industry

This is a 6-month training position that combines on-the-job experience and mentoring to prepare individuals for a career as a marketing and proposal specialist. The Intern will perform a variety of duties in order to gain skills and professional experience.

KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS & ABILITIES

· Ability to use equipment such as laptop computer, desktop computer, cell phone, office phone, and internet browser.
· Ability to read requests for proposals and prepare a quality response.
· Ability to communicate effectively through verbal speech by phone and in-person.
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
· Ability to communicate effectively in writing by email and by letter.
· Ability to learn the sales process and support business development.
· Ability to use reasoning to identify conclusions.
· Ability to plan and prioritize work for the day and meet deadlines.
· Ability to change priorities as needed.
· Ability to work collaboratively.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

Education:

· Currently enrolled in, or graduated from, an accredited four year college or university with major course work in communication, business administration – marketing, or other related field.

Work Experience:

· No experience necessary.
· Participation with campus organizations is a plus.
· Participation with business fraternity is a plus.

Other requirements:

· Valid driver’s license and availability of a properly insured automobile for use on the job throughout employment.
· Can perform light work that involves walking or standing most of the time and involves skill, adeptness and speed in the use of fingers, hands or limbs on repetitive operation of electronic office equipment within moderate tolerances or limits of accuracy.

OUTLINE OF SELECTION PROCESS

The selection process will be job related and will consist of one or more of the following: education, experience, and interviewing. Oral and other assessment methods may be utilized during the interview. Bureau Veritas reserves the right to call only the most qualified candidates for interview. Interviews may include written exercises.
