Role synopsis

The Sourcing Specialist supports various BP businesses with a range of sourcing and contract management activities. The ideal candidate has practical experience in sourcing of services and commodities, knowledge of contracts and legal terms, sourcing strategy preparation, coupled with a strong commercial orientation and communication skills.

Key accountabilities

Based on internal task assignment the Sourcing Specialist will support the following activities:

·  Support/manage end-to-end Sourcing project as per business request.
·  Identify and evaluate sourcing opportunities.
·  Screen suppliers as per the related guidelines.
·  Support the development of source selection criteria.
·  Support/manage the supplier selection process.
·  Build and manage e-sourcing projects & events (RFX).
·  Manage the relevant supplier interactions and relationship throughout a sourcing project/task lifespan.
·  Negotiate relevant contract terms with suppliers.
·  Develop contract content based on templates and manage the approval process.
·  Manage contract modifications.
·  Coordinate the PO only business process.
·  Support reporting requirements.
·  Develop a solid understanding of supply agreement templates along with basic understanding of legal concepts related to category guiding principles.
·  Effectively represent PSCM to the business and suppliers.
·  Take ownership and accountability for assigned queries and projects.
·  Mentor and help junior team members.
·  Take an innovative approach and support/lead continuous process improvement initiatives.
·  Comply with BP's Code of Conduct, taking a professional and disciplined approach to working with suppliers, to ensure transparency, consistency and fairness. Our procurement and supply chain management principles are always applied within that framework and in the context of relevant laws and regulations.
·  Comply with all BP's Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) policies and procedures.
Additional HSSE responsibilities specific to this role:

·  Comply with all HSSE directions of the line manager or HSSE Manager.
·  Participate in HSSE training and discussions, workplace inspections and audits, and assists in the resolution of health and safety issues as required.
·  Contribute to successful implementation of HSSE programmes and initiatives.
·  Handle requests from Business users that arrive through the Ticketing system or through Business consultation.
Essential Education

·  University/College level degree
·  Fluency in English and Polish

Essential experience and job requirements

·  Min. 2 years of relevant sourcing experience
·  Practical knowledge and experience with contract terms and conditions
·  Experience with e-sourcing processes and tools (especially Ariba) is an advantage
·  Proven experience in dealing with external partners, suppliers or customers
·  Strong knowledge of navigating the supply market and supplier selection
·  Excellent negotiation skills
·  Strong client relationship management skills
·  Strong motivation to further develop sourcing knowledge
·  Proficient desktop computing experience
·  Strong proactive and innovative approach
