Role synopsis

The Vendor Query Lead role has the primary responsibility to ensure that we manage, control and develop our operations in a “process designed” manner to deliver value to the respective business and customers for which services are provided. A core part of this responsibility includes:.

·  Be responsible for Vendor Query Management and Issue resolution across the E2E Purchase to Pay process and be responsible for the delivery against to the operational key performance metrics' target for the assigned business
·  Be responsible of process simplification, standardisation and continuous improvement with the respective operations and optimisation teams and leading relevant GPO standardisation initiatives or regional standardisation initiatives in GBS Europe
·  Management of appropriate stakeholder relationships within the GBS and the businesses/functions
·  Being responsible for the operational activities delivered by the Vendor Query Team

Key accountabilities

·  Accountable for controls being in place and working effectively across all processes and systems in relation with the Vendor Query Team.
·  Delivering process standardization by identifying improvement opportunities and process change proposals.
·  Responsible for implementing new/re-designed processes and making sure they are operated properly within the team.
·  Responsible for highlighting improvement areas for reaching the PPI targets.
·  Responsible for the performance management of the Vendor Query Team and for the daily operations of query handling and issue resolution.
·  Acting as first level of escalation for the Vendor Query Team members.
·  Build up and maintain professional relationship with Business partners, acting as PTP AP representative towards to the Business, BPO and other functions (GBS Europe OTC, RTR).
Essential Education

·  Recognised professional qualification in a business, finance or similar field
·  Fluency in Polish and English

BP is establishing a new Business Service Centre (“BSC”) location in Szeged which provides Finance, Customer Service and Operational Procurement services to all Downstream businesses in Europe. The BSC provides the opportunity to combine activities dispersed across different locations, and support the standardization and simplification of processes in one location. The new BSC site is starting operations in 2017, along with the Budapest site which, opened in 2009 and has 1200 employees. We are looking for experienced professionals to contribute to our success.

Essential experience and job requirements

·  3-4 years business experience is required
·  Demonstrated process expertise in a given process tower such as PTP, OTC, RTR Customer Services or Supply Chain Management
·  Relevant operational and/or design solution experience gained in a business, BPO or similar environment
·  Experience supporting and implementing strategic plans across a team
·  Relevant previous experience in a leadership and supporting continuous improvement position with similar accountabilities
·  Demonstrated ability to use a wide range of systems and application tools and techniques to guide, motivate, train and support staff and makes full use of opportunities to coach and develop direct reports or virtual teams to maximise their performance, leadership and development potential
·  Experience in continuous improvement tools and techniques such as Kaizen, Lean or Six-Sigma
