Your contribution to something big

In cooperation with a team of scientists and engineers you will work on the application of Machine Learning methods in order to answer tribological questions more efficiently in the future. This way you gain a broad insight into industrial research.

·  Documentation of the state of the art in the area of Machine Learning (ML)
·  Literature research on existing methods and algorithms
·  Preparation of existing testbench results, suitable for ML methods
·  Application and optimization of different ML-methods
·  Evaluation of the used methods in terms of precision and consistency with physical boundary conditions
·  Derivation of wear maps for the prediction of wear coefficients
·  Documentation and presentation of the results

What distinguishes you

·  Student of Engineering or Science, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Sciences or comparable with above-average course achievement
·  Experience in established programming languages (e.g. MATLAB)
·  Knowledge of Machine Learning, respectively the willingness to learn on this topic
·  Tribological knowledge is advantageous
·  Independent, structured and target-orientated working approach
