IT Data Hub Ops Engineer – M/F/X

The Data Hub tribe has been set up to help the bank achieve one of its ambitions, namely to become a data driven bank, serving better our customers, partners and employees.

We strive to improve the ingestion, distribution and historisation. We manage the data and make it available to users, transversal across the entire bank - Business Intelligence, Data Scientists and digital applications – by building an indispensable component for data management, efficient and controlled exploitation of advanced data analytics (artificial intelligence), and for a smooth and flexible supply of the new scalable Digital and Data Platform. Our goal is to give customers, partners and employees an increasingly better user experience.

Your future job

Up for a challenge? Have a look at your future day to day responsibilities:

You are in charge of the coordination of all adjustments for the various applicative components and environments & technologies (ex/ Collibra, AB Initio, HDP, Apache Flink, Cassandra, Kafka, etc)

You take care of the specification, design, testing and deployment of the runtime runbooks through our continuous delivery pipeline

You make sure that all application and / or infrastructure changes comply with the BNP Paribas Fortis security and reliability guidelines.

You contribute to the build of the DataHub platform, the set-up of the environments and you ensure the implementation of life cycle management and new technologies.

You take all possible actions necessary for the continuous integration, configuration and implementation of monitoring

You take care of the preparation / updating of the documentation and knowledge base needed for the maintenance and solving of incidents of the DataHub related components, environments and technologies.

Tell us what you can do

You have a higher education or university qualification.

You have knowledge of a desire to focus your work on technical and functional aspects of Data Hub

You have some experience using Kafka, Cassandra, HDP, Python, Apache Flink, Spark, Collibra.

Also having the ability to install and administrate data management tools on Windows servers or Linux/Unix, and knowledge of security, monitoring and capacity planning is a plus.

You are enthusiastic and take ownership of your responsibilities.

You master French and/or Dutch and are fluent in English.
