Location, start date, and duration of temporary contract
A one-year temporary contract beginning in January 2017. The position will be based in Lons-le-Saunier in the Jura Department (Bourgogne-Franche-Comté), between Lyon and Dijon. Frequent journeys are required as part of this role (at least once a week), mostly to our headquarters in Suresnes (Paris), but also to the Group’s plants during industrial implementation phases.
At the Research & Innovation Department, you will produce the best-selling dairy products of the future by creating unique experiences for consumers through sustainable competitive technical advantages. As part of this duty, you will be responsible for delivering ‘On-Time In-Full’ innovation projects for one of the Bel Group's five core brands.
To do this, you will lead a multi-disciplinary project team from the exploration phase up to industrial and commercial launches. Your role is important because:
· you will use trend and consumer data to decide on the technical avenues to be explored;
· you will construct technical approaches to design production lines that meet the Group's standards for industrial excellence;
· you will make use of the expertise (Packaging, Research, Engineering) and resources available in the Group (Pilot Tests, R&D Lab Characterisation) required to reach the objectives set;
· you will challenge the technical solutions adopted and suggest relevant choices and directions;
· you will cultivate a positive, solutions-focused team spirit to boost the project team's commitment and performance.
You are an engineer specialised in agrifoods, processes, or industrial project management, with experience in innovation project management and/or industrial implementation in the agrifoods industry. You are familiar with project management tools and methods and have knowledge of the main dairy and cheese technologies. You have a proven ability to follow a rigorous scientific approach.
You are recognised for your dynamism and creativity, and you know how to create a climate of trust and get your message across while taking different points of view into account. You should have good enough English to host meetings and create presentation materials.
Experience in managing scientific or technical projects in the cheese sector would be a distinct advantage for this position.
