Purpose:

Demonstrating your Store Room experience and strong computer skills, you will produce Replenishment reports, conduct obsolete parts removal, perform turnover rate analysis, process cycle counting, and ensure Store Room housekeeping.

Formula for Success

As a subject matter expert, you will serve as a resource for Equipment Standardization and Parts unification.  Your attention to detail will assist you in procuring maintenance and project materials using SAP. Your knowledge of and ability to read material specifications will serve you well as you conduct Quality Control on incoming parts as required by Process Safety Management (PSM).  This includes materials of construction and electrical classifications. Your ability to interface with maintenance and engineering resources will assist you in facilitating the creation of Technical Materials(TMAT’s) numbers to catalog and track commonly used spare parts at the site. Your excellent communication skills will be essential as you act as the Vendor / Maintenance Interface for procurement of specialty items. Using strong computer skills, you will use the SAP system for Bill of Materials (BOM) creation, Functional Location Management, storeroom functions such as Parts Kitting, and maintenance planning support functions. Working as a team player, you will serve as back-up for the Maintenance Planner(s) with respect to procuring services.
·  Ability to lift 25-35 lbs routinely

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…
 

Basic Qualifications:

·  High School Diploma or GED
·  2 years of material or parts management in an industrial environment and/or 2 years of technical equipment knowledge (rotating equipment or instrumentation)  

Preferred Qualifications: 

·  SAP or similar warehouse coordination application experience preferred
·  Microsoft Office application experience with Outlook, Word, and Excel from the intermediate to advanced skill level
·  Chemical plant experience
·  Advanced technical knowledge of industrial equipment and instrumentation
·  Forklift operation experience
