Objectives:
· Facilitate the site management in steering the business and evaluating the costs in the company.
· Guide, challenge and consult the organization towards economical decision-making and value generation;
· Enforce compliance with financial policies and procedures. Main Task:
· Lead operational planning process of site infrastructure and services, and conduct gap analysis (actual/plan) for relevant costs;
· Coordinate operational planning process, cost budget and production planning;
· Define, set target and monitor KPIs in site organization;
· Manage annual Small Investment Planning;
· Monitor and report operation result of Plants, Maintenance, Utilities, Indirect service charge, etc.;
· Monitor material price, e.g. price, standard price, and perform investigation on significant price fluctuation;
· Monitor product costing including cost difference and idle cost;
· Check SAP cost estimation before month end costing run;
· Support month end closing as bridge between site end user and platform;
· Gate keep of all site cost center including cost center set up and allocation key update;
· Prepare monthly site management report punctually and accurately, e.g. express report, fixed manufacturing cost report, etc.;
· Prepare presentation for site management review, e.g. cost allocation, fixed / variable manufacture cost development overview, etc.;
· Benchmarking costs structure and allocation methods among BASF sites;
· Support BASF Financial Statement Review Meeting;
· Coordinate finance and controlling community activities;
· Take care of other company level controlling activities required by local government, e.g. statistics report, support business license update, support tax assessment, etc.;
· Support calculation and documentation under Chinese law;
· Support cross BU/plant cost allocation alignment for shared costs, e.g. idle cost, cost difference, etc.;
· Support training and education on controlling topics.
· Business Analysis
· Analyze performance of site infrastructure and services;
· Perform economic evaluation for site infrastructure and service projects to support site investment;
· Gatekeeping for commission projects in infrastructure;
· Monitor budget and strategic risks of site;
· Analyze Small Investment cost development, number of CAPEX and make sure budget under control;
· Setup and on-going support to project application and closing, e.g. project capital injection, project tax refund coordination, etc.;
· Support global/regional finance projects roll-out in site;
· Governance and Compliance
· Enforce financial policies and internal control procedures;
· Keep up-to-date awareness of government / corporate / company regulation development to ensure the financial conformity with and adherence of all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions;
· Follow up actions on internal audit;
· Support fixed assets / inventory stocktaking on site;
· Implement internal control effectiveness in site, e.g. support GC control policy implementation, etc. Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree, major in Economics or Chemistry.
· Minimum 8 years’ experience in international manufacturing company with minimum 2 years manager experience. Big 4 working experience is a plus.
· Technical & Professional Knowledge:
· Open minded and can actively communicate with operation / site controlling colleagues;
· Deep understanding of cost accounting;
· Familiar with CAPEX projects;
· Good at customer relationship and stakeholder management.
