Software Developer
Radbroke Hall (Knutsford)

Our server engineering is a global team established to research and develop new ways of supporting our infrastructure focusing on server technologies (Windows, Linux, AIX, Chef, Patching, and vulnerability management CI/CD, Access Management). The team is responsible for providing level 4 support, ownership and maintenance and development of infrastructure components.

What will you be doing?

• You will be the main developer for privileged access management solution based on a vendor product and tightly coupled with internal systems using Python.
• You will work alongside infrastructure engineers and provide development support
• You will be engaging with key stakeholders such as business aligned technology teams (RTB/BTB)
• You will be liaising with technical and business teams

What we're looking for:

• Ability to code (Ruby/ Python/Perl)
• Deep understanding of server infrastructure (UNIX) and facilitating technologies
• Knowledge of and deep understanding of Infrastructure as a Code concepts and tools (Chef, git, Jenkins, Terraform)
• Ability to work in a globally distributed agile team (scrum)

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Middleware product (Jboss, Tomcat, Apache, WAS, MQ) knowledge would be an advantage
• Knowledge of TDD (Test Driven Development) would be an advantage
• Familiarty with CI/CD processes is desired
• Ideally candidate would have an understanding of container technologies and public cloud (AWS), but this is not mandatory.

Barclays Radbroke Hall is a strategic IT and Technology centre set in a fantastic countryside location with outstanding facilities to include Starbuck's, onsite gym and canteen as well as football pitches and tennis courts. The site is relaxed with a dress down code and excellent working culture.
