Job Title Data Engineer
Location Radbroke Hall (Knutsford)

We are recruiting for a data engineer to work in the team responsible for management of a central Data Warehouse that contains a copy of all Technology related information required for reporting and analytics. This includes timely capture of data from source systems, storage and availability of the data. It also includes the integration & manipulation of the data to provide consistent, quality data with high response times for users.

What will you be doing?

• Working with colleagues within the team and in other areas to understand requirements, documenting change and delivering change.
• You'll develop database schemas and making changes to existing ones
• Developing data integration between databases and internal and external data sources
• Keep up to date with the latest Database technologies and Data management techniques and tools.
• You'll adhere to controls and process for support of incident, problem and change management
• Provide support for incident and problem management, investigate issues, liaise with colleagues within and outside of the team
• You'll perform root cause analysis and recommend work-arounds and permanent solutions as appropriate.
• Able to communicate with 3rd Party vendors if required, managing issues and upgrades

What we're looking for:

• Detailed knowledge of database concepts and data transformation activities
• Experience of delivering technical solutions to solve business problems
• Database design and architecture methodologies for data storage, data provisioning and reporting, including Cloud Computing
• Proficiency in SQL Server database development

Skills that will help you in the role:

• An understanding of Project Management methods and disciplines
• Experience of Amazon Web Services
• Use of Autosys for Job Scheduling
