About Absa Illuminations

We are a group of passionate people building a platform for risk calculations where non technical users can put together the calculation workflows themselves in a visual designer. The platform itself is universal and can be used for any type of calculations and it seems we are not going to run out of ideas how to improve it any time soon. We are solving interesting problems and for that we use the technologies that fit our needs the best. Our team is spread between Prague and Johannesburg; we have 6 developers and 8 business analysts plus a project manager.

Who are we looking for?
Do you like writing code? Do you like solving problems? Do you take pride in your work and want to take ownership of a complex product not just a part of it? Do you like playing chess?

What you will do:
· Work on all layers of the application form the database to the UI.
· Write code and unit tests and also review code of others.
· Present your work to the users.
· Discuss ideas within the team and come up with your own ideas.
· Help users in their day to day jobs and listen to their needs.
· Improve our processes.
· Talk to other teams.
· Play chess if you feel like it.
· Have a burger and a beer or whisky after work from time to time.
What we expect from you:
· Using English on daily basis is not a problem for you.
· You know C# and .NET well.
· You have basic understanding of databases and SQL.
· You like to learn new things and also like to improve things around you.
And if you also know some of these, you get some bonus points:
· Web development using MVC, Angular and TypeScript
· The tools we use: Jira, TeamCity, Git/Stash, Confluence
· Experience with SSIS or Informatica or any other ETL tool.
