Job Title: Lead Android Developer
Location: Radbroke, Knutsford or Spinningfields, Manchester

Our Channels Engineering team has over 1000 employees and delivers seamless, end-to-end technology solutions to its customers. Due to the market leading success of our mobile channel, we are looking to add several skilled Android Developers to help rebuild the whole mobile platform, incorporated new technology along the way.

What will you be doing?

• Work on end-to-end system designs and development across mobile applications including Pingit and Barclays Mobile Banking
• Involved in both BAU projects and exciting R&D initiatives
• Work collaboratively with Solution Architects, UI/UX Designers and fellow developers
• Manage business requirements to understand how system requirements fit within overall business solution
• Be influential in our huge ring fencing project, Payment Service Directive
• Able to work in Agile environments with offshore and onshore teams
• Ensure all duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements

What we're looking for:

• In depth knowledge of Android Development, using Kotlin or associated languages
• Exposure using Data Mining and Room Navigation tools from an architectural perspective
• MVC or MVVN modelling design exposure
• Gradle or Jenkins exposure

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Front end development skills in HTML, CSS or JavaScript
• Any additional language knowledge would be beneficial, C, C++, Scala, Python or Ruby
• Excellent communication skills (both oral and written).

Where will you be working?

You will be working at our technology hub in the North West, located at Radbroke Hall in Knutsford. It's convenient for most individuals who live within a 35-mile radius, spanning from Liverpool, Chester, Manchester and Stoke. It's a lively atmosphere with large open plan offices, with everything you need on site including various catering options, Starbucks, Gym, onsite parking etc.
