Quality Engineer

Would you like to work alongside The Royal Air Force of Oman? We currently have a vacancy for a Quality Engineer to join us at our site in Oman.

As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible to the Head of Maintenance for assisting the Line and Base Maintenance Managers in the establishment of a Quality System across Maintenance in support of Oman Operations. This role will conduct the day to day management of Quality Assurance Activities within Line and Base Maintenance areas.

Your main responsibilities as a Quality Engineer will involve:

Assist the Line and Base Maintenance Managers in managing the maintenance audit programme, including an annual review of previous findings.

Routinely undertake Line and Base visits.

Act as the focal point for all Quality Assurance issues within Maintenance Areas.

Ensure compliance to the MOE through implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS).

Leading and promoting continuous improvement initiatives through effective auditing, process improvements, data analysis and Maintenance patrols.

Ensuring awareness of Quality principles and practises across Maintenance.

Conduct robust root cause analysis to Non Conformance Report (NCR) findings from within Maintenance or externally by the Assurance function or 3rd party assessors.

Produce reports, analyse results and follow up any outstanding actions in preparation for management review meetings.

Your skills and qualifications:

Proven experience within an aerospace Quality environment

Experience of carrying out quality audits

Experience of working within an EASA Part 145 environment

Experience working in the Middle East would be an advantage

A flexible ‘Can do' attitude, excellent communication skills & experience of training/mentoring and coaching staff in the development of QA and continuous improvement activities.
