Macroeconomics and Financial Data Analysis - (F/H) - Stage

Internship period:

6 months, to start immediately

Environment:

The AXA Group, one of the world leaders in financial protection, follows and advices both consumer and corporate clients through each stage of their lives, providing products and services adapted to their insurance, savings and wealth transmission needs.

AXA Group's HQ is based in the 8 th district of Paris and it regroups the Corporate activities of the Group. It coordinates the Group's strategy in concordance with local entities and assures the development of international projects.

Main tasks :

Within AXA's Group Credit Team (€550bn of assets under supervision), the intern will provide support to the different sub-teams which formulate and define the Credit and Macro strategies to be implemented at Group level.

Some of the tasks the intern would undertake include:

· Collecting and compiling economic and financial data from different data sources (e.g. Central Banks, IMF, OCDE, Bloomberg, among others).
· Updating and improving existing models in a weekly and monthly basis.
· Collaborating in the development of asset allocation and economic indicators models.
· Potentially performing ad-hoc financial analysis, and/or writing reports on companies or countries.

Profil recherché

Qualifications :

Skills needed:

·  Knowledge of macroeconomics and finance.
·  Proficiency in English, both written and oral.
·  Quantitative skills and familiarity with large databases.
·  Proficiency in Programming (mainly VBA), Excel, Bloomberg, and other market data providers.
·  French or a foreign language, a plus.
·  Interest in financial analysis of companies and/or countries.

Profile:

Engineering or Master student with a major in Finance, Applied Mathematics, Statistics or Programming.
