Your work environment:

The headquarters of the AXA Group (GIE AXA) brings together our corporate activities. It provides guidance and support to subsidiaries around the world, to ensure the coordination and monitoring of the Group's global strategy, the application of its standards, the consistency of commercial approaches and the sharing of best practices. Within the Group, you will join Group Risk Management which develops the risk framework in terms of limits/thresholds (financial, insurance and operational risks), standards, minimum requirements or processes, and oversees the operating entities’ adherence to the framework, supported by the local risk management teams. Risk management coordinates the second line of defense.

Within the Group Risk Management family, you will be part of the Group Internal Control and operational risk team which is responsible for providing reasonable assurance regarding the achievement of objectives relating to operations, reporting, and compliance.

Your job and daily missions:

You will integrate the team in charge of managing the information systems (tools, interfaces, data lakes etc.) supporting the AXA operational risk and internal control frameworks for 50 operating entities involving more than 13 000 employees across the world. You will be in direct contact both with the functional experts and the end users.

The team has a central role in the department and is notably leading the IT strategy, governance, architecture, developments, and daily operations. We work with Agile methodologies. We are innovative and constantly trying to leverage emerging technologies with currently a strong focus on artificial intelligence and its applications

Your main duties will be:

IT Development and Parametrization

  • Identify, analyze, prioritize, execute, and test IT developments and parametrizations of the information systems as per a defined roadmap.

Research and Development

  • Identify new functionalities bringing added value to end users. When validated, develop and implement them
  • Identify issues, areas for improvement or activities that can be simplified or automatized and propose an adequate development plan
  • Supported by our emerging technologies and data team, study and implement artificial intelligence models such as machine learning and generative AI to boost our performance and create added value

Business Intelligence

  • Prepare, run, and verify the quarterly reporting submitted to the management committees
  • Enhance our business intelligence by designing reports helping the management to make the right decisions
  • Propose, implement, and maintain a consistent architecture of underlying programs allowing to quickly develop the reports needed with the right level of quality

IT Tools Management and Maintenance

  • Monitor daily the IT tools, interfaces and data lakes to ensure they are functioning as they should
  • Solve issues/bugs and liaise with the right stakeholders when necessary
  • Provide day-to-day support to a community of 50 local administrators all over the world
  • Perform change management activities (awareness sessions, trainings, community calls…)

Practice and project management

  • Be a key stakeholder in all transversal projects led in partnership with the other teams/departments (Risk Management, Compliance, Audit, Security…)
  • Understand the purpose of each project and define project plan, milestones, and workload to deliver on time and on specifications
  • Prepare and attend governance committees

Desired profile

Qualifications :

Technical and professional skills:

·  Ability to develop code and programming with in particular:
·  Strong proficiency in SQL and relational databases
·  Strong proficiency in Python
·  Strong proficiency in Excel (Knowledge of VBA is a plus)
·  Strong knowledge of business intelligence (Knowledge of PowerBI is a plus)
·  Ability to manage several topics at the same time and prioritize them
·  Knowledge of artificial intelligence models would be a plus (in particular machine learning and generative AI models)
·  Knowledge of Azure Data Platform and/or Azure Data Bricks would be a plus

Communication skills:

·  Fluent in English
·  Ability to lead high quality meetings and training sessions for key stakeholders
·  Ability to vulgarize IT topics to non-IT population

Experience:

·  Master’s degree in Information Technology or Engineering
·  At least a first experience in IT project management and/or business intelligence
