Main objectives

Context

The role of the Group Internal Financial Control (IFC) team is to ensure the effectiveness of internal control over financial reporting for the AXA Group (under IFRS), and to monitor its yearly certification. The Group IFC programme covers the main entities of the Group in terms of assets, operating income and risk exposure.

Since 2014, the Group IFC team has extended the IFC framework to Solvency II topics, i.e. processes participating to the calculation of AFR (Available Financial Resources) and STEC (Short Term Economic Capital), including governance aspects such as Use Test, Model Change Policy or Data Quality. At FY17, 23 entities were in scope for IFRS and Solvency II.

Job position

At the Corporate center, within the Group IFC team, the candidate will be part of the IFC GIE team, in charge of managing the IFC program of AXA GIE (central functions) and AXA SA (Group holding) on IFRS Solvency II and Flyer perimeters.
Group IFC is part of Group Rsk Management.
Main responsibilities

In his/her role, the candidate will:

Risk assessment
· Actively participate to the risk assessment, the scoping and the documentation of the in-scope processes of AXA GIE impacting the financial reporting i.e. the financial statement and Solvency II
· Assess the adequacy of the controls covering the risk identified through the update of dedicated matrices or narratives with the central process owners and country managers.

Testing and action plan
· Perform IFC testing in compliance with Group IFC requirements on all AXA GIE processes in scope (finance, consolidation, legal, tax, IT topics…)
· Follow up the issues raised and its action plans
· Administrate locally the IFC tool (BWise-ICON)

Project management
· Contribute to the implementation of Flyer new perimeters, in coordination with the Flyer central team and AXA local operating units
· Participate to projects for improving and/or developing IFC framework on new risk coverage and/or due to evolution of Standards (IFRS standards, COSO principles, Solvency II…) or regulation requirements
· Participate and organize communication actions to raise IFC awareness within the Group (e.g. IFC days, IFC manual, IFC induction course) and facilitate IFC projects

Coordination and management
· Support the manager of the team to manage the IFC team based in India, leading IFC work on behalf of AXA Group (defining the testing strategy; following up the testing progress, process and controls transfers…)
· Manage the relationship with the service providers (AXA IM & AXA GS: Budget, scoping agreement validation, SAS report review); work closely with them to ensure reporting quality and timeliness
· Act as a liaison manager for Flyer entities assigned, become the main point of contact with regards to Flyer topics.
· Act as a liaison manager for local entities, become the main point of contact with regards to all IFC topics, and monitor them.

Profil recherché

Qualifications :

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Technical and professional skills
·  Audit, finance or risk management background – 3 to 6 years' experience
·  Good understanding of the insurance business, relevant IFRS accounting rules practices. For internal candidates, some knowledge on the Flyer environment would be a significant advantage. An IT background would be a plus
·  Programme and project management skills
·  Good knowledge of internal control practices
·  Precise, analytical and well organized
·  Effective communication and writing in English

Interpersonal skills

·  Independent decision making capability
·  Team spirit is a must

Management skills:

·  Ability to work with a great number of interlocutors from different backgrounds (inside or outside finance) and cultures across the Group (international environment)
