Supplier Analyst – Real Assets – Norwich or London

We are looking for a permanent Supplier Analyst to join our Real Asset business based from either Norwich or our London Head office.

The Role

You will be supporting the Head of Operational Risk & Governance to develop and support the embedding of the Aviva Investors Real Asset (AIRA) global Supplier Strategy.  You will achieve this by providing support and challenging the Real Assets business teams on matters relating to sourcing, management, oversight and exit of supplier relationships.

The Team

Spanning real estate, private debt and infrastructure, our real assets platform offers investors access to assets that offer diversification, increased security and the potential for higher returns via an illiquidity premium.  Our real assets capability encompasses global real estate and alternative income investments made around the world. These are physical assets that we buy or provide financing for on behalf of our clients. Transactions to buy or sell are done directly with the counterparty and the price negotiated privately. They are not publicly listed.

Responsibilities

•                Reporting for the new Real Assets Supplier Forum and associated reporting

•                Maintain training materials and framework documents or procedures for AIRA.

•                Support projects and corporate initiatives, that contain any element of supplier risk

•                Promote and support a positive risk culture within the business.

•                Work within the Supplier Governance Framework and the Governance and operational risk framework to ensure compliance always.

•                Support monitoring and review of Relationship Owner completion of Supplier Management tasks.

•                Aggregation and reporting of supplier performance ratings, risks, risk events and iCARE issues.

•                Guidance and support on RFPs, appointments, re-tendering and on-boarding

•                Guidance and support on contract reviews, changes and contract management.

•                Supports attendance of site visits as required for high risk suppliers

•                Guidance and support during the exit of any supplier relationships

•                Guidance and support on contract reviews and contract management, including any contractual changes and impact assessments.

•                Monitoring, reviewing and reporting use of ad-hoc suppliers to the Supplier Forum and reporting of issues detected

•                Recommendation of suppliers that need to be assessed for inclusion as a ‘managed supplier’ under the Ariba process.

•                Supports the implementation of any changes to the pre-approved standard contracts by which ad-hoc suppliers are appointed.

•                Maintain training materials and support provision of training and education to the business on corporate standards around supplier sourcing, management and payments

•                Supports risk event oversight of supplier related risk events

•                Maintains existing SOPS / framework documents on supplier management

•                Supporting the satisfactory testing of supplier management controls across AI Real Assets

•                Supporting the resolution of all supplier Audit /risk / Supplier governance review issues within an agreed timescale.

Requirements

Essential

•                Degree or appropriate level of industry and technical experience

•                Good knowledge of supplier risk management techniques

•                Experience in a similar role

•                Experience of supplier sourcing, management, oversight and exit techniques and best practice

•                Working knowledge of regulatory and legal requirements

•                Analytical skills and excellent attention to detail

•                Able to give advice and guidance within specialisation to staff at all levels

•                Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise plan and adapt to best use resources

•                Proven ability to build and manage strong relationships with internal and external contacts

Highly Desirable

•                Knowledge of the Aviva Supplier Governance Framework

•                Knowledge of the Real Assets business

•                Knowledge of the Aviva Investors Risk Management Framework
