Financial Crime Officer

Look what tasks you will have:

• Overseeing the development, implementation and maintenance of an effective financial crime (including AML Framework) for Aviva Poland aligned to the Group Financial Crime Risk operating model and Aviva Group Policies, which support delivery in line with Group risk appetite and Group strategy, to mitigate the risk of Aviva Poland being used to facilitate financial crime.
• Challenging and advising on Aviva Poland’s management of exposure to financial crime risk, including measures for risk identification and risk impact.
• Overseeing the effectiveness of Aviva Poland arrangements to counter money laundering and financial sanctions risk in line with principals and/or requirements of the Money Laundering Regulations in Poland.
• Overseeing Poland’s identification and response to other financial crime including adequate procedure arrangements under the UK Bribery Act.
• Providing opinion on financial crime risk exposure (including money laundering risk) and advise Aviva Poland’s business areas on how best to manage and mitigate these exposures.
• Accountable for oversight of money laundering risk-management within Aviva Poland
• Responsible for ensuring appropriate governance arrangements for financial crime & AML within Aviva Poland liaising with EXCO and Legal as appropriate
• Ensuing AVIVA Poland’s alignment to the Group Financial Crime operating model being implemented across Aviva by the Financial Crime Transformation Programme

For us it is important:

• Proven track record in the management of risk and financial crime compliance, including AML, fraud and bribery on a large scale and across a wide range of diverse activities
• A thorough knowledge of the AML&CTF Act and of the regulatory regime in respect of financial crime.
• Broad understanding of all areas under direct control, including risk and capital management techniques.
• Knowledge of best practice and emerging developments in similar multinational organisations.
• Sound understanding of the business environment /operations experience
• Proven track record in implementing and driving change in Financial Crime risk management
• Broad awareness of regulatory/financial crime regimes and local business environment in Poland
• Significant financial crime and money laundering leadership experience in financial services environment. 
• Relevant financial services sector experience and experience of working in a regulated environment
• Experience of operating at senior management level and of influencing senior management and other key stakeholders (e.g. FCA)
• Strategic awareness and capability
• Analysis and mental agility – Holds many perspectives, seeing patterns and hot spots from complex data
• Organisation and Planning – Successfully plans to manage complex activities. Uses contingency planning, prioritisation and delegation to achieve timely completion
