Client Onboarding - Global COO – Chicago, USA

The Role

With the support of a new global team, the successful candidate will take the lead role in managing the onboarding of new clients in AIA, often involving requirements outside of Aviva Investors standard offering.  You will be responsible for liaising with all involved parties and stakeholders of the onboarding process both internally and with the client and all external parties to ensure all documentation, operational and reporting requirements are fulfilled prior to inception of the client account.  There is also an expectation to support the team in strategic global initiatives as they seek to enhance the client experience and control framework around onboarding.

Responsibilities

·  Manage client onboarding engagements (for new and existing clients into new investments) as identified during the sales/RFP phase.
·  Collect all required documents and achieve sign off from clients / internal teams to fulfil the requirements of onboarding and regulatory processes (e.g. Operating Model deliverables, Operational readiness, changes to legal agreements and approvals (IMA, Guidelines, etc.)
·  Oversee and monitor progress of operational components.
·  Track and report progress of each onboarding against plan and escalate delays or issues as required
·  Define objectives, requirements and project plan during sales phase with involved workstream groups for executing the transition and agree/communicate these with the client and sales/RM representatives. Manage ongoing client communications throughout onboarding.
·  Review with stakeholders and escalate complex/non-standard components as relevant.
·  Review, recommend and implement improvements to the strategic client onboarding model where appropriate.
·  Ensure accurate and timely reporting at project and programme level.

Requirements

·  Project Management experience in a relevant area within financial services /Asset Management.
·  Financial investment industry experience
·  Ability to manage complex projects with multiple/external stakeholders
·  Client onboarding/transitions management would be desirable but not essential
·  Ability to communicate technical concepts and ideas to non-technical audience
·  Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform well under time-sensitive deadlines
·  Client management and relationship building skills
·  Ability to build a strong internal network within Aviva Investors
·  Independent worker who is results driven
·  Experience with Salesforce & SharePoint would be an advantage
·  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability and confidence to liaise directly with clients
