Job description

Distribution Operations provides end-to-end support to all distribution channels of Aviva. These include Affinity Channel, Aviva Financial Advisers, as well as external distribution partners including Banks, Financial Advisory (FA) firms, Brokers and Insurers.  

Reporting to the Manager of CBI, the role is responsible for:

  • Distributors' Commission Management
  • Strategic Incentives Management
  • Business Intelligence

Job Scope:

Distributors’ Commission Management:

  • Ensure timely and effective response to commission enquires from partners
  • Educate relevant stakeholders on general commission knowledge & principles
  • Timely escalation of critical commission issues to Senior Manager with effective follow-up & follow-through
  • Ensure effective end-to-end resolution of commission discrepancies within a reasonable time frame
  • Effective management of distributors who informed Aviva of possible commission discrepancies
  • Ensure effective commission computation testing within agreed timeline as and when required
  • Ensure that Remuneration Schedules are prepared, maintained and delivered to new and existing partners
  • Ensure that Register of Partners' Distribution Agreement is maintained to allow effective identification of unique key clauses
  • Provide Production Information Deck of new products to partners to facilitate product due diligence

Strategic Incentive Management:

  • Good understanding of incentive mechanics and desired outcomes (tracking & fulfillment requirements)
  • Maintenance of Incentive Payment Register
  • Accurate incentive performance tracking and incentive entitlement computation
  • Ensures accurate and timely payment of incentive
  • Effective management of and timely response to all internal & external enquiries

Business Intelligence:

  • Regular reports for all distribution channels and Senior Leadership Team (SLT)
  • Sellers and Customers Incentive tracking reports for all distribution channels
  • Strategic sales/performance/operational analysis to provide actionable insights

Effective risk management:

  • Compliance with PDPA and data security guidelines

Requirements:

Qualification

  • University graduate (preferably in Finance or Business or Computer Science related discipline)
  • Diploma holders with relevant experience and expertise will be considered

Skills/Knowledge

  • Good leadership, supervisory and presentation skills
  • Strong project management and analytical skills
  • Open-minded, receptive to new ideas and cope well with changes and tight timelines
  • Ability to build strong working relationships at all levels of the Company
  • Highly-motivated and organised
  • Meticulous with an eye for details
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office software applications, including advanced hands-on expertise in MS Excel
  • Working knowledge of QlikSense, QlikView, SQL and VBA
  • Good knowledge of insurance practices, operations and work processes will be an advantage
  • Good understanding of AS400 system will be an advantage

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in delivery of critical support functions in a fast-paced environment
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Management/Sales reporting and analysis in Banking/Life Insurance industry
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in project management or staff/team supervision
  • Experience in Distributors’ Compensation in the Life Insurance industry will be an advantage
  • Experience in life insurance industry will be highly valued
