· Working in a versatile team on challenging projects. Responsible for completed task packets in the areas of Driver Assistance Systems (DAS), Autonomous Driving (AD), Computer Aided Engineering, Testing and Design (CAx) and High-Performance Computing (HPC) at multiple customers of the automotive and their suppliers industry.
· Operating and consulting to optimize and develop complex IT environments for Research and Development (R&D) departments, especially in the areas DAS and AD.
· Supporting the integration of CAx applications into the customer environments. Installing and operating workstations, servers and special servers running on Linux. Programming scripts and tools to raise the automation level.
· Undertaking the responsibility for organizational operation tasks like Lifecycle Management, Monitoring, Inventory, License Management.
· Working on incidents, analyzing causes and working out solutions and workarounds. Identifying problems in recurrent incidents as well as executing the problem management.
· Working in near-service projects with direct contact to the customer and responsible for implementing change requests within the scope of the operation specifications.
· Documenting solutions and maintaining the knowledge database.

These are your skills:

· Academic degree in a STEM discipline or a comparable qualification.
· Deep knowledge of administrating large Linux environments (mainly Ubuntu LTS or RedHat/CentOS).
· Good knowledge of programming scripts, preferably Python or Perl.
· Initial experience in Lifecycle Management of applications under Linux.
· Experience with DevOps tools (Jira, Confluence, GitHub)
· Experience with DevOps processes and CI tools, build pipelines and automation (Jenkins, Ansible)
· Experience in operating IT environments to develop Embedded Systems is beneficial.
· Confident interaction with customers, strong sense for service and customer needs and initial experience in project management.
· Readiness to get familiar with non-standardized and permanently changing environments together with very strong analytic skills.
· Good speaking and writing skills in English.
