Role Summary/Purpose

Join a strong development team to design and develop the next generation of the firmware for the Electrical Power Assets monitoring system, utilizing the latest and most effective technologies.
Essential Responsibilities

• • Multi process software development for Linux based industrial applications
• Design, build, and maintain efficient and reliable C/C++ code
• Hands on of algorithm complexities
• Compiling and debugging under Linux OS for target hardware
• Development of communications using standard interfaces and industrial protocols
• Development applications used data bases (MySQL, SQLight etc.)
• Human Machine Interface (HMI) development
• Development of Web based HMI
• Work closely with other engineers to develop new features
• Estimation and prioritization of the software development tasks
• Development of specifications to meet business requirements
• Document of the design and code
• Communicate progress, milestones and quality issues with team lead project managers and product managers as appropriate
Qualifications/Requirements

• Professional degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent education and experience.
• 3+ years experience of software development in C/C++
• At least 2 years experience of developing software for embedded Linux platforms
• Experience with GNU Debugger
• Knowledge working closely with Git
• Agile/Scrum development cycle understanding
• Good English oral and written communications

Desired Characteristics

• Basis knowledge/experience in Electrical Engineering
• Experience of ARM CPU, C#, Bash script, JavaScript, AngularJS, UCI, OpenWrt, Visual Studio, Eclips
• Experience of power systems software domain
• Knowledge of the following communications protocols (MODBUS, DNP3, IEC61850
IEC60870)
