The intern will work on the design and the implementation of components that will help the analysis of data inside the Datalab environment. The resulting algorithms and machine learning models should then be easily ported into a Big Data production environment. The intern is expected to work on:

· Modern, cutting edge Data solutions like Pivotal Greenplum, Hadoop and Apache Spark, or Cloud oriented ones like Docker

· Environments dedicated to data analysis such as R/Python

- Master’s degree from an engineering school or university, in a quantitative discipline (Statistics, Math, Computer Science).

- Interested in the Big Data movement for extracting value and creating new business models.

- Driven by innovation, understanding and solving of complex technological and analytical problems, with a will to expose results to a non-expert audience.

- Independent, methodical and initiative-taker.

- Sensitive to the usage of technology and their contribution to our daily life.

- Good oral & written skills in French and English.

- Exposure to open source would be a bonus.

What you will learn:

· Evaluate functional and technical requirements,

· Assess the technical challenges in deploying R/Python code in a Big Data environment, and suggest solutions to ease such deployment,

· Implement and put into production the necessary tools to help Data Scientists analyze data in a Big Data online environment,

· Design and implement demonstrations of our analytical capabilities inside a Cloud Oriented platform.
