You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders within the operating companies, communicating the benefits of the Travel Program and its preferred suppliers as well as highlighting savings and demand management opportunities to the operating companies.

The Global Category Lead Buyer is responsible for achieving a step change in savings/value while obtaining ongoing annual savings improvements or value creation in his/her defined segments. In addition, he/she is responsible for ensuring that savings capture is achieved though the deployment in the countries & GBU. The internal customers should be kept satisfied in terms of: cost, quality, lead-times and service level of suppliers.

The Global Category Lead Buyer will:
1. Through analyzing the internal and external fact base and understanding the needs of internal customers support the GCM to develop the category strategy and build an action plan for the category.
2. Support the GCM in the communication of the action plans, including their timing and impact on budgets to the stakeholders, in particular to the country procurement organizations
3. Execute or lead the execution of the actions, being personally in charge of some key supplier relationships, including negotiations and production of all main agreements.
4. Work with the country category buyers as well as lead cross functional teams with other functions, e.g. Operations HR, FM, RE.
5. With the supervision of the Category Manager, lead internal process changes or improvements being part of the action plan or necessary for the optimization of the segment (e.g. demand management)
6. Assure the deployment and implementation of the actions in the countries & GBUs and facilitate whenever necessary.
7. Spend time with the countries & GBUs in order to understand and respond to business requirements which may impact timely implementation of sourcing strategies and resultant savings capture.

Profil recherché

Profile
- Bachelors' Degree in Business
- Minimum 5 years experience in procurement / travel
- Management role in an international company
- Excellent English level
