Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated staff automation engineer to join a growing team and deliver RTL verification workflow capability to engineering project teams across ARM. You will play a key role – both definition of new features and implementation inside the flow and customer support to integrate the flow in their testbenches.

About the team

You will be working in our Sophia office in a very dynamic team that develops, deploys and maintains RTL verification workflows for users located across Europe, US and India. Given the span of the team and customer locations, there may be opportunity for travel to other sites during your work.

What will you be accountable for?

The role covers development, deployment and maintenance of RTL verification workflows. You will be responsible for:

·  Requirements capture, specification, development and deployment of new features
·  Supporting customers using workflow or to port their testbenches into the workflow
·  Collaboration with customers to collect new requirements based on new verification needs
·  Collaboration with EDA vendors through evaluations, optimisations and continuous improvements
·  Use of key metrics to drive improvements in the flow and benchmark EDA tools

Job Requirements

What skills, experience and qualifications do I need?

You will require a proven track record with verification methodologies including ownership of a suitable workflow environment. You must be comfortable developing workflows dedicated to Ha hardware oriented audience to make the best use of EDA tools and platforms, and have experience of at least one simulator.

Essential Attributes

·  A deep understanding of verification methodologies and flows for functional verification of complex IP
·  A good understanding of databases (MySQL, Redis)
·  Experience of “scaled-out” deployment of technology across a global organisation
·  Experience of supporting workflow users
·  Experience of collaborating with EDA vendors
·  Strong scripting skills (Python mainly, UNIX shell scripting) – being able to develop scripting to support new flows.
·  Experience working and communicating with remote design centres.
·  Strong communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team and cross sites
·  Significat proven hands-on experience in hardware flow automation and in-depth knowledge of at least one high level object oriented programming language such as Java, C++ or Python
·  Exposure to the complete software development life-cycle including the use of configuration management

Desirable Attributes

·  Good knowledge of Git/Gerrit
·  Good knowledge of the 3 main simulators on the market
·  Willingness to travel to other ARM sites globally
