Graduate GPU Compiler Engineer
The Media Processing Group (MPG) in ARM® has the mission to be at the forefront of advanced multimedia IP products for the consumer, wireless and automotive infotainment markets. The Mali™ range of GPUs and VPUs (Graphics/Video Processors) deliver advanced architectures for hardware acceleration of graphics and video, specifically tuned for low energy consumption and high performance. Combined with our software products, we provide solutions that will continue to address our customer needs into the future.

GPU Compiler engineers work on state-of-the-art compiler framework (LLVM) and optimizations targeting the Mali GPUs. We support Graphics (OpenGL/ES, Vulkan) and Compute (OpenCL) APIs and we develop in C/C++ in a Linux environment. We collaborate with the hardware teams for architectural explorations and help our customers to unleash all the power of our Mali GPUs.

The GPU compiler team is spread over Lund (SE), Cambridge (UK) and San-Jose (US).

Expected start date is first half of 2017 but, in some cases, we can consider an earlier start.

Job Requirements

Are you a good fit for ARM®?
The successful candidate(s) will be graduating from university in 2016 or beginning of 2017 with a Master’s degree in computer science, electronics engineering or other relevant disciplines with good academic record. This is a graduate position, so no working experience required.

Essential skills that we look for in a successful candidate include:
• Compiler knowledge
• Good English communication skills

Being familiar with one of the APIs we support would be a plus.
