POSITION DESCRIPTION


ORANO Federal Services, a subsidiary of ORANO USA, is seeking a Project Controls Specialist III for our Federal Way, WA office .


The Project Controls group provides planning, scheduling, cost analysis, tracking, trending and reporting of project performance and status for projects performed by ORANO Federal Services.
Varying types of DOE projects including fixed price, cost-plus and T&M. Project size varies from large M&O and construction to small design/study projects.


Under general supervision, this position assists with ensuring compliance with applicable methods/procedures for the project control activates of cost analysis, scope, control, trending and reporting.

Additional responsibilities and duties include the following :
· Establishes methods/procedures for the project control activates of cost analysis, scope control, trending and reporting.
· Develops earned value analysis, project status reports and project financial reports.
· Assists Project Managers with earned value analysis, project status reports and project financial reports.
· Informs the project manager of project financial status, schedule status, identifies potential problems and recommends a resolution.
· Provides financial management of the project, that includes assisting with the budget creation, WBS development, creating work breakdown structures with budgets, tracking of invoicing milestones, reviewing invoice charges and backup, forecasting and monitors project cash flow.
· Provides subcontractor financial oversight by reviewing subcontractor's invoices versus their Terms & Conditions and Purchase Orders.
· Monitors and corrects un-posted or incorrect charges in the accounting system.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this opportunity. Candidates who exceed minimum qualifications may be considered for a higher level position.
·  BS/BA Degree in Business, Engineering or equivalent education or related experience in lieu of degree, plus 4 to 6 years of related work experience. An advanced degree (MBA) or PMP Certification may substitute for 1-2 years of related work experience.
·  Minimum 2 years' experience with Primavera scheduling software.
·  Minimum 2 years experience on DOE Projects.
·  Basic knowledge of project management plan development, implementation and administration including knowledge of processes, procedures and tools.
·  Good verbal and written communication skills; ability to work effectively with staff & management.
·  Excellent working knowledge of PC-based applications such as MS Office (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint).
·  Basic problem identification and resolution skills with emphasis on "root cause" analysis.
·  Good report development skills.

The following requirements are desired and will be used to differentiate all candidates who apply for this position.

·  Working knowledge of Costpoint accounting software.
·  Experience with Deltek acumen and Cobra software.
·  Knowledge of related project controls standards, techniques and criteria.
