POSITION DESCRIPTION


Reporting to the Power Engineer Supervisor, this position is responsible for the following duties:

Responsibilities include:
· Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Ammonia Crystallization, Oxygen and Utility plants.
· The Chief Power Engineer or Power Engineer supervisor will assign other duties as required.
· Successful candidate will be required to be trained in the operation of the Sulfuric Acid Plant
· Strive for continuous improvement in operation efficiency and product quality
· Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Regulations

Efforts and Demand:
· Must demonstrate effective verbal, written and electronic communication to relay information regarding condition of plant
· Maintaining an accurate shift log
· Ability to work with both operations and maintenance departments
· Ability to operate in a leadership role when needed
· Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work in higher than normal heat conditions (up to 40C)
· Must possess elite troubleshooting skills and strive for continuous improvement of process

Desired profile

Qualifications :

All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this opportunity. Candidates who exceed minimum qualifications may be considered for a higher level position.
·  Must have a valid 3 rd Class Power Engineer's certificate
·  Must have 3 to 5 years' experience working with high pressure boilers in a heavy industrial atmosphere
·  Must have completed grade 12
·  Ability to accept a role in training and development of Power Engineer Trainees
·  Commissioning & shut down experience is considered an asset
·  Experience with SAP considered an asset
·  Experience with Waste Heat Boilers considered an asset
·  Preference will be given to candidates that have completed a recognized Power Engineering course
·  Preference will be given to qualified Residents of Saskatchewan North (RSN)
