The objective of the job is to support the development of the surface treatment on new metallic coatings by assessing its impact on the product properties. The Research Engineer will be in charge of different activities - Management of a study - Tests follow-up (corrosion, temporary protection, phosphatation…) - Surface analysis (XRF) - Synthesis of the results (power-point, report…)

Comments:
The training will take place in the R&D centre of Maizières-lès-Metz dedicated to automotive market. The trainee will join the Surfaces and Coatings cluster, in Surface Analysis and Manufacturing team and will have the opportunity to work with people having numerous competencies (gas-metal reaction, new metallic coatings by hot dip galvanization or physical vapour deposition, corrosion, surface treatments, customers painting processes...). There will be also strong interactions with other teams in charge of product characterizations (welding, stamping, adhesive bonding....).
