Job description

The Acquisition analytics team is responsible for driving new acquisitions for both customers and prospects through various channels, Early Engagement, Cross sell & Retention. Team specializes in Marketing strategy analytics, Decision Science, Data Science, Analytical Capability, Profitability Calculation, Big Data Algorithms, Machine Learning. Team has achieved several key benchmarks in last few years: • Processed 1 billion+ direct mails for US consumer • Running 200+ Models on Big Data Platform • Process 1 trillion+ records through machine learning every month for offer decision Incumbent will be part of the team responsible for end to end Prospect Acquisition Decision Science which included development of response, behavioral and CMV models. Person will also be responsible for developing machine learning algorithms on Big Data platform to solve the business problems. The successful candidate will work with cross-functional teams like product strategy, marketing, technologies and external partners to make full use of Amex Data asset to convert in products to drive more revenue. Experienced professional in a team member role, well versed in statistical modeling techniques. Nature of work is similar to Analyst 1 but level of supervision is lower. Position requires higher levels of knowledge and skill. Assigned tasks are of low to medium complexity.

Desired profile

Post graduate (M.Tech / MBA / M. Stats / MA Economics) with 0 - 3 years of work-experience in analytics industry. • Expertise in application of analytics (applied statistics / quantitative methods) for solving business problems. Competency in standard data mining and customer segmentation techniques is also desirable e.g. Decision trees, Clustering or Neural Networks kNN, GBM etc. • Good hands on experience in Base SAS, SAS Macros, SQL in a UNIX environment, JAVA, PYTHON, R, PIG, HIVE etc. • Ability to understand data, research and fix issues. Be hands on with working on large datasets. • Expertise in data mining and synthesis of multiple databases; Knowledge of Big Data platforms and programming will be required (or expected to rapidly learn the same on the role). • Understanding consumer behavior based on browsing devices i.e. Mobile, PC, Tablet etc. and then optimize journey for these. • Leverage advanced analytical skills to develop solutions such as recommender engines, dynamic content on our websites based on visitors' browsing behavior.
