The Alexa ML Experience team is looking for passionate and innovative designer who will guide our design efforts in this emerging and exciting field.

With sensai ML Platform, developers and data scientists in Alexa have the ability to build, train, and deploy machine learning models quickly. As a fully-managed cloud service, sensai covers the entire data science workflow from data preparation and exploratory data analysis to model building and inference; our charter is to make ML Scientists the most productive modelers in the world.

As a UX Designer on the team, you will responsible for designing and developing products and services which will enhance Alexa AI. You will be working on a team with talented engineers and operate in a fast-paced environment. You will be constantly innovating to build large scale solutions that aid Alexa Machine Learning.

What You’ll Be Doing
· Create, communicate, and test customer journeys, information architecture, wireframes, interaction flows, and visual design.
· Deliver CX specs, assets, and redlines to engineers.
· Own the CX from beginning to end, including working hand-in-hand with engineers and ML Scientists until the product/feature is built to spec, polished, and achieving the CX and business goals.
· Work inventively around constraints and navigate ambiguous situations.
· Create guidelines and evangelize best practices to create an excellent customer experience for Amazon users.
· Build relationships and communicate effectively with local and remote cross-functional teams.
· Present designs to senior management, defending design decisions, advocating for the customer, and building consensus.
· Rigorously generate data to build a deep understanding of products in order to make informed design decisions.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience working in the machine learning domain or with data scientists.
· Ability to present work using functional prototypes built with InVision, Flinto, Principle, Framer, Axure, HTML/CSS/JS, or similar
· Experience with Sketch and Illustrator
· Visual design expertise demonstrated through mockups, prototypes, and style guides
· Understanding of front-end technologies (HTML/CSS/JS) to help inform design and interaction decisions
· Practical knowledge of user-centered design methodologies, usability principles, web-based information architecture and designs
· Ownership, bias for action, and passion for building a world-class CX.
· Creativity, strategic thinking, solid design process.
· Excellent written, communication and storytelling skills.
· Ability to deliver high-quality solutions in a rapid, iterative design and development environment.
· Responsive, flexible and able to succeed within a collaborative, multi-tasking environment.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience·
· 3+ years of experience as a UX designer or similar role
· Professional portfolio of design work
