DESCRIPTION

The Amazon Ops Talent Development Team is looking for an experienced, customer obsessed Technical Program Manager for the WW Virtual Training program. The Virtual Training Program's goal is to deliver a friction-free Associate experience to take training from home. This role will be working with 3-4 tech teams in other organizations to deliver the Virtual Training STL's goal of a consumer grade experience for our Associates globally.

The ideal candidate is a TPM who is able to collaborate effectively with a team comprised of business analysts, data engineers, business intelligence engineers and support teams, internally and externally, on the front end to enable the delivery of the right outcomes for our stakeholders. The role is inherently cross-functional. The Technical PM role is a good fit for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, is both creative and technical, and who is sensitive to (or understands) the diverse perspectives of stakeholders and works with them to resolve differences. Someone who is comfortable at the strategic level but can dive deep into the details and is not afraid to roll up their sleeves and deliver results.

The ideal candidate is a creative, demonstrated leader with superior analytical abilities. This opportunity requires excellent technical, problem-solving, written and verbal communication skills. The candidate will have experience defining projects, collecting requirements, writing detailed functional and test specifications, coordinating efforts to scope, schedule, and deploy new features sets as well as analyzing cost/benefits and communicating results throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
· Assemble a project team, assign individual responsibilities, identify appropriate resources as needed, and develop schedules to ensure timely completion of the project.
· Independently lead projects and deliver expert level solutions based on thorough analysis of business requirements, and work collaboratively across the organization to identify opportunities for process improvements.
· Understand the processes to define, design, and deliver business technical solutions based on a variety of Time and Attendance systems and applications.
· Assess the right balance of risk to allocate the right resources, remove bottlenecks, provide escalation management, balance the business needs versus technical constraints and encourage risk taking behavior to maximize business benefit.
· Collaborate with business stakeholders to develop product requirements.
· Collaborate with technical and design teams to define and design the product with the best customer experience.
· Drive the implementation and delivery of products.
· Clearly communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to cross-functional project teams.
· Support and enhance existing products with thoughtful and measurable impact.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· 2+ years of experience leading a software development team through multiple product/platform releases.
· 3+ years of experience making significant individual contribution to real-world software development.
· · Demonstrated proficiency with an object-oriented programming language; strong object-oriented design and algorithmic analysis background.
· · Track record of developing engineers through various career stages and building high-performance teams.
· · Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences.
· Experienced in using an iterative process such as SCRUM to deliver engineering projects; experience in continuous improvement to development process.
· Bachelor’s degree and 5 years’ experience, or a Master’s degree and 3 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Experience in defining and prioritizing identifiable work items
· Ability to propose improvements towards technical and overall business processes.
· Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
· Ability to apply best practices to the software and system development lifecycle.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills across diverse audiences.
· Experience with data management and data analytics tools and systems, such as SQL, Quicksight, Redshift, Python or other scripting languages

· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
· 3+ years of relevant engineering experience
· Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
· 2+ years of technical program management experience
