­­­Technical Curriculum Developer

Elemental Technologies, an AWS company, is the leading supplier of software-defined video solutions for multi-screen content delivery. We are looking for a Technical Curriculum Developer to develop world class learning solutions that increase the adoption of AWS Elemental products on a global scale. In this role you will develop highly technical courses with extensive hands-on labs (ILT), e-learning courses that can be accessed 24x7, and self-paced labs that get customers deep into AWS Elemental technologies, , helping us achieve our goal of becoming the market leader and most respected brand in the video processing space.

Strongly prefer candidate to sit in Portland, OR. This position can be Virtual, but candidates must be based near an AWS office location (Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Denver, Boston, Austin, Dallas, Herndon (VA), Chicago or Atlanta.)

What you’ll do:
· Assess, design, develop, and implement innovative learning solutions that meet strategic business initiatives
· Creatively use instructional design, learning theories, existing content and appropriate technologies to engage learners
· Develop classroom and interactive eLearning solutions; present them in contextually accurate scenarios to increase knowledge transfer
· Utilize our automated lab and courseware publishing process built on AWS services
· Manage projects and processes in an environment requiring strong multi-tasking abilities utilizing excellent project/program management and organization skills
· Partner with a diverse group of stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand employee and customer training needs and validate effectiveness of solutions
· Facilitate requirements gathering meetings with curriculum stakeholders to define the appropriate learning objectives, modalities and expectations
· Build relationships with AWS Elemental service teams to understand roadmaps and plan for content updates or new training offerings
· Respond to changes in products/features by revising content at the pace of innovation

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as instructional/curriculum design, technical communications or equivalent experience (8 yrs. industry in training or e-learning development)
· 5+ years’ experience designing and developing instructional materials for technical content
· 2+ years' experience creating assessments to measure learner competencies
· Demonstrated hands-on knowledge of e-learning development tools such as Articulate Storyline, Camtasia, Adobe Captivate, Photoshop/Illustrator, virtual instructor-led training tools, and social learning tools
· Demonstrated experience manipulating multi-media assets (audio, video, and/or animation) to create engaging learner experience
