DESCRIPTION

Amazon Web Services (“AWS”) offers a broad set of global compute, storage, database, analytics, application, and deployment services that help organizations move faster, lower IT costs, and scale applications. We are growing quickly and dynamically, including in our global data center footprint. This role is part of the Infrastructure Global Expansion team, which is responsible for our strategy for data center expansion into new countries and geographies.

In this role, you will work with a broad cross-functional group including engineering, networking, energy, sales, public policy, tax, and legal teams to develop recommendations for how we can deploy new infrastructure deployments around the world. This role will specifically own expansions arising from government customer requirements, and have the opportunity to define new approaches and procedures for unique customer requirements.

Responsibilities include:
· Owning expansion strategy recommendations
· Managing communications and documentation around in-flight expansions
· Working with external parties to identify requirements and prospective partnerships to enable new infrastructure launches
· Improving cost structures for preferred infrastructure architecture
· Representing the infrastructure team in responses to RFPs and other procurement processes with government customers

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· BA or BS required
· 5+ years' experience with driving strategic product or infrastructure decisions
· 3+ years' experience in technical focus role
