Amazon's Advertising technology team builds the technology infrastructure and ad serving systems to manage billions of advertising queries every day. The result is better quality advertising for publishers and more relevant ads for customers. Our infrastructure supports millions of Internet users and handles billions of queries per day, all delivered in milliseconds. Our data platform processes massive data sets to develop business intelligence and analytics that are critical for the efficiency and profitability of our advertising business.

The Ad Optimization team in Bangalore is part of Advertising Technology group and is responsible for ensuring high traffic quality for multiple ad-programs within Amazon. Our ad tech infrastructure powers state-of-the-art online advertising programs for Amazon.com as well as other premium online publishers, advertisers, and mobile developers across the globe. The supporting systems serve tens of billions of incoming requests from millions of Internet users every day, all processed in mere milliseconds.

In this role, you will:

· Help to build, configure, and manage distributed systems deployed across multiple continents in order to ensure high availability.
· Recommend and perform necessary upgrades and architectural improvements to solve some of the big internet problems.
· Help to resolve production issues and determine the root cause of problems
· Create tools, scripts, and documentation to manage, organize, optimize, and improve our systems

· Design and configure application monitoring and alerting

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
· A minimum of 5 years of experience administering and operating web-scale production systems running on Linux or another Unix environment
· A minimum of 3 years of experience in networking, DNS, routing, NAT, load balancing, etc. as well as knowledge of AWS basics
· A minimum of 3 years of experience in scripting in at least one of Bash, Perl, Ruby, Python, Java, etc.
· Strong problem solving skills.
