Prime is one of the highest-visibility groups across Amazon, and the Prime Acquisition Team is looking for a Sr. Software Development Engineer to design and build new large-scale solutions to optimize how customers to learn about and engage with all the benefits of Prime membership.

The Prime Acquisition Team seeks talented engineers who take great pride in both the technical and business contribution of their work. You will have a significant impact on our systems, our business and most importantly, our customers. As a member of the Prime Acquisition Team, you will work closely with the business and marketing teams to design and implement new solutions to solve complex problems. You will enhance message-targeting efficiency through implementation of multivariate testing, semantic analysis, data mining, and machine learning. You will design flexible, responsive architectures that allow self-service simplicity for our partner teams as you anticipate how their requirements will evolve over time.

To succeed as a Sr. Software Development Engineer for Prime, you will build highly-scalable, fault-tolerant systems that can withstand millions of operations per day. You will be responsible for projects that require enhancements to multiple systems, including many outside your team's ownership (influencing without authority). You'll demonstrate a proven ability to architect elegant solutions to new challenges across systems, and to effectively share your technical vision with others. This high level of ownership will challenge you to grow both as an engineer and as a leader as you'll also be asked to mentor other engineers within the Prime organization. Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 6 or more years' experience in software development
· Bachelors degree in Computer Science/related field or equivalent work experience
· Experience with object oriented programming including Java, C++, C#, C (or similar)
