DESCRIPTION

The mission of Alexa Product Discovery team is to simplify the customer's shopping experience. Through advanced algorithms, machine learning and large-scale data processing, we help customers find the right products for their shopping needs. Our experience today spans a global footprint with multiple devices powered through Alexa Voice Technology .
We are looking for a talented and experienced technical leader for our recommendation engine team. As a Software Development manager, you will be leading large engineering team(s) that will own the engineering infrastructure along with ML models that power personalized recommendations on Alexa. Your team will be responsible for developing new models that improve the quality of our recommendation blends for a variety of customer intents, and building low latency/high throughput large scale distributed systems.
On this team, you will shape how customers shop through Alexa and will have a broad impact on business. Last but not the least, you will be able to look back and say "I helped shape the future of shopping!"

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
· Strong design, architecture, and problem solving skills.
· Strong track record of hiring and developing talent with 3+ years of experience managing software engineering teams and developing technical direct reports (performance review communication, accountability, motivation/engagement)
· Strong track record of delivering technical projects.
· Experience in communicating with end users, technical & business teams to collect requirements, describe product features, and technical designs.
