Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the world leader in providing a highly reliable, scalable and low-cost infrastructure platform in the cloud.
The AWS Systems Manager team works on a wide range of areas to allow customers to easily manage large fleets of instances and run their mission-critical infrastructure on AWS. We are a fast-growing service and are looking for an experienced technical leader to drive a new initiative for the Systems Manager area. We have had great success with products like Run Command and Session Manager, and are expanding these technologies to solve other tough business problems.
This is a great opportunity for a Software Development Manager to join the team and own and drive the vision for the service going forward. We are looking for a Software Development Manager who is passionate about working with cutting edge technologies, bring deep technical knowledge, experience with distributed systems to drive technical design and manage an experienced team.
The ideal candidate for this position is an experienced technical leader who can grow and evolve engineering teams and also own a critical service that's a cornerstone of Systems Manager.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)

· 8+ years of software development experience, as a developer or manager
·
· 2+ years of experience as a development manager (with direct authority over development staff)
·
· A passion for people management and mentorship
